Citi IRA $5,000 Bonus

Requirements

• Enroll by phone — call your Financial Advisor or the National Investor Center at 1-833-350-2258 between 7/1/2026 and 9/30/2026 (no self-serve enrollment)
• Fund the CPWM account with at least $50,000 in New-to-Citi Funds — funding must be initiated by 9/30/2026 and completed by 10/31/2026 for the August 2026 cohort
• New-to-Citi Funds only — money already held at Citibank checking/savings or an existing CPWM account before 7/1/2026 does not qualify
• Enroll in (or stay enrolled in) eDelivery of statements through the end of the Account Funding Period
• Maintain the New-to-Citi Funds through the Maintain Funds deadline — 11/30/2026 for the August 2026 funding cohort
• IRAs and SEPs are explicitly eligible (this row); other retirement plan accounts are excluded, as are corporate/entity, most trusts, estate, UGMA/UTMA, 529, Citi Wealth Builder, Citi Self Invest and insurance/annuity accounts
• Account must be open and in good standing when the bonus is credited — by 3/1/2027 for the August 2026 cohort
• Limit one bonus per enrollment, and a hard cap of two CPWM cash bonuses per calendar year across all CPWM accounts
• Cannot be combined with any other Citi offer
• Anti-gaming clause — CPWM may deny bonus eligibility or payment for quick withdrawals after a bonus, structured deposits/withdrawals, or opening accounts solely for incentives

Timeline

1. Fund the account within 91 days of opening.
2. Complete all requirements within 91 days.
3. Maintain the qualifying balance/activity for 121 days.
4. Keep the account open 212 days to avoid clawback or early-close fees.
